AAP MP Sanjay Singh intensified his attack on the BJP during a press conference on Saturday, accusing Union Ministers, BJP MPs, and leaders of engaging in electoral fraud and undermining the Election Commission’s reputation. Singh alleged that BJP leaders were registering false votes to manipulate the electoral process.

“Union Ministers, BJP MPs, and leaders are tarnishing the reputation of the Election Commission by committing electoral scams and frauds,” Singh said.

Singh specifically targeted Parvesh Verma, BJP’s candidate for the New Delhi constituency, accusing him of occupying an MP bungalow despite no longer holding office. Singh claimed Verma had overstayed in the bungalow from May to January and had applied to register 33 votes at that address.

“The BJP candidate from New Delhi, Parvesh Verma, is a former MP, yet he has been occupying the MP bungalow for eight months. Not only that, he has submitted an application to register 33 votes at the address,” Singh alleged.

Singh also accused Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary and Union Minister Kamlesh Paswan of similar attempts to manipulate voter registration. According to Singh, both leaders submitted applications to register 26 votes each at their respective addresses.

“Union Minister Pankaj Chaudhary and Kamlesh Paswan have also submitted applications to create 26 votes at their addresses. This is a clear example of electoral fraud,” Singh asserted.

Singh further alleged that BJP leaders were distributing cash to buy votes. He claimed that BJP leaders were provided ₹10,000 each by the party, out of which only ₹1,100 was distributed among voters, with the remaining funds pocketed.

“BJP leaders have been given ₹10,000 by their party to distribute. Knowing they have no chance of winning, they save ₹9,000 and distribute only ₹1,100. This needs to be exposed,” Singh said, challenging the BJP to reveal the truth.

AAP National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also accused the BJP of orchestrating large-scale voter fraud in the New Delhi Assembly constituency. Kejriwal claimed that the local election officer had “surrendered to the BJP” and was aiding in illegal activities.

“The local election officer in New Delhi has surrendered to the BJP and is facilitating their wrongful actions. The ECI has assured us they will take strict action, but the DEO and ERO must be suspended,” Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal highlighted a surge in fake applications for vote cancellations in the constituency. “Between December 15 and January 7, 5,500 fake applications for vote cancellations were filed in New Delhi Assembly constituency. In the last 15 days alone, 13,000 such applications have been submitted,” he revealed.

Kejriwal urged the Election Commission to address the issue and take immediate action against these fraudulent practices.

With the Delhi Assembly elections approaching, these allegations have added to the charged political atmosphere, with both parties sharpening their campaigns for the crucial contest.
